About

Sylvain. A lifetime behind the camera.

Master photographer with over 40 years of experience — in Las Vegas as Virtual View Inside since 2002. Google Trusted Photographer with a quiet specialty in ultra-high-resolution gigapixel virtual tours that let viewers zoom into details no Matterport scan can match.

Four decades behind the lens. I started young, traveled the world chasing light, and settled in Las Vegas to build a commercial studio. Decades of shooting across Europe, Asia, and the Americas taught me one thing above all: there is no substitute for being the person actually behind the lens, on the ground, watching the light. That belief is the whole shape of this studio.

Virtual View Inside opened in Las Vegas in 2002 — the business turns twenty-four this year. We started in portrait and architectural work, and when Google launched the Street View Trusted Photographer program we were one of the first studios in Nevada admitted into it. Today the focus is ultra high-resolution HDR gigapixel 360° virtual tours — captured on a Hasselblad 102-megapixel medium format camera in multi-row HDR brackets, then color-graded and stitched into tours where viewers can zoom in deep enough to read the text on a back-bar menu or count the rivets on a piece of furniture. That detail is the unfair advantage: visitors stay in your tour three to five times longer than in a Matterport scan because there's always something else worth looking at.

One photographer. Every shoot.

Before Las Vegas, I spent much of my career on the road as the master photographer for Hawaiian Tropic, shooting swimsuit models on tropical locations around the world. Earlier still, I was a wedding photographer back home in Montreal, Canada — and even forty years ago I was working on medium format. The thread through all of it has been a love for commercial work: making a space, a brand, or a person look its absolute best, and delivering something the owner will be proud of years later. I take real pride in giving every client the highest-quality image and result I can produce.

I am the only photographer at Virtual View Inside, and that is deliberate. Every job — from a single Vegas cocktail lounge to a multi-city JAMS corporate rollout — gets the same person, the same eye, the same standard. Your tour doesn't get handed to a junior contractor on a budget day. You hire me; you get me. The trade-off is that the calendar fills up fast for premium dates, and travel weeks need to be scheduled in advance. The upside is consistency you can't fake with a team.

The camera

Every panorama is shot on a Hasselblad 102MP medium format system — the same sensor class trusted by Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and the world's top architectural photographers. The larger-than-full-frame sensor delivers cleaner shadows, richer tonal range, and the kind of fine detail a 35mm DSLR or smartphone simply can't resolve. Combined with multi-row HDR bracketing on a nodal head, each viewpoint becomes a true gigapixel-resolution image — sharp enough that you can stop the tour, zoom in three or four times, and still see clean texture.

Who we shoot for

Local Las Vegas restaurants, lounges, retail, and dispensaries — plus regular shoots for Strip and off-Strip hotels including the Cannery, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, and Imperial Palace, among others. National corporate accounts (JAMS is a long-running anchor — I fly in and shoot multiple offices in a single trip). Interior designers and home stagers. Architects, real estate agents, and brokerages.

How we work

One shoot day, everything captured. Ultra high-resolution HDR gigapixel virtual tours and editorial-grade hero stills — both delivered from the same visit so the coverage stays consistent and the budget stays sane. Tours live on your own domain, branded to your business, with no recurring hosting fees ever.

The sister brand

Fashion, portrait, and model work runs through Dusk Photo. Same hands, different room. I also organize larger group shoots on location — family portraits, dance studios, church gatherings — where I set up at one venue and photograph multiple families, or every child in a class, in a single day. That model keeps the per-family price fair while every image still goes through the same color and retouch standard as the commercial work.
